Armstrong rarely created pictorial bindings, rather focusing on certain key elements to create an interesting binding, as showcased throughout this exhibit. Here, we have a rare pictorial scene: a stylized depiction of a small town at the foot of the Swiss Alps, in a style reminiscent of stained glass.
