“This beautiful cover design, by Miss Maitland Armstrong, for THE NEW PACIFIC, stamped in gold on sea green, represents ocean waves and sea-shells, with the Ancient Mariner telling to the Wedding Guest the story of his adventures into the Pacific, and how he killed the Albatross, the bird that made the wind to blow, thus bringing upon himself and others dire misfortune” (p.67).
