Images from Halliday's #QueenOfTheApesWalk COVID-19 project
I have been taking daily walks near my East Harlem home since March 18, and choosing 10 micro-observations - of flora, fauna, urban flotsam and jetsam - to document on Instagram under the hashtag #queenoftheapeswalk . This project grew spontaneously out of my desire to spend a bit of time outdoors, far from my fellow humans (all but the first few days, masked) and my antipathy toward doing the livestream pivot so many of my fellow theatermakers have embraced. Each day is published in a 10-photo set, a day or two after the walk was taken.
