Act One: An Autobiography

Moss Hart (1904-1961)
Act One: An Autobiography
New York: Random House, 1959

A budding playwright from outside Manhattan aspires to the glories of Broadway, works hard to deserve them, and comes close to failing many times. But he triumphs in the end with grit, wit and luck. That book changed my life.

It is one of the best theatre memoirs Ive read.
